The regional East Bay Economic Development Alliance is offering 10 East Bay companies a 1-year scholarship to participate in the Alameda County Employer Advisory Council (EAC) which helps employers with a range of human resources, workforce, and labor compliance issues. See below summary about the EAC. 

 

To apply for this scholarship (or nominate a local company), please provide the business’ contact info and website address, and reason why it can benefit from EAC offerings to Jackie Keliiaa at the East Bay EDA (jackie@eastbayeda.org) by December 15, 2018.

 

(Note: the scholarship is best suited for medium-sized companies, e.g. those that have enough capacity to participate in EAC offerings, including their educational workshops.)

Alameda County Employer Advisory Council (EAC)

 

EAC’s Mission:

  • Educate – employers on current laws and future work force to match employers’ needs

Membership Terms
Membership runs from January through December, and is by company, not individual. Membership dues are $90.00 paid annually.  East Bay EDA will cover the 2019 membership for 10 small businesses.

How Companies Can Apply for a 2019 Scholarship from East Bay EDA

  • Company must be nominated from a member of East Bay EDA’s Business Development & Resources Committee – need contact info and website address, and reason why it can benefit from EAC offerings.

  • Company must be large enough and/or have enough capacity to participate in EAC offerings, including their educational workshops.

  • Nominations must be received by December 15, 2018 to Jackie Keliiaa.
