Locally Handcrafted Lighting

Metro Lighting has been creating handcrafted lighting fixtures in Berkeley since 1993.

Co-founders Lawrence Grown and Christa Rybczynski, both trained in architecture, built their first pieces in a garage studio on Virginia Street.

Today, with over 50,000 fixtures crafted, Metro Lighting operates from an 8,000-square-foot showroom and fabrication facility. Every piece reflects their commitment to thoughtful design, personal expression, sustainability, and community.
